STRADA: The world's most comfortable aero bike 2.0! Why suffer for speed? Strada is the fastest bike, designed around larger road tires. Minimalistic seatstays and a curved seat tube offer even more comfort and improved aerodynamics.

From the beginning, our goal for the Strada was aerodynamics AND comfort. While pushing the limits of aerodynamics and comfort, the Strada has two clearly distinct zones: Speed ​​Zone: The front half of the bike, with its deep but narrow head tube, wraparound down tube, and bladed fork.

Comfort Zone: The curved seat tube, thin seat stays and long, exposed seat post ensure comfort while also contributing to aerodynamics.

Tires provide more compliance than any other part of the bike. Wider tires are better at absorbing shock from cracks, curbs, cobblestones, and potholes. They also have lower rolling resistance because their shorter contact patch requires less flex from the casing.

Plus, wide tires reduce fatigue from high-frequency road vibrations. But aerodynamics are also important in these rides, and the Strada remains the first aero bike designed around wide tires (just as the Discus wheelset is designed specifically around wider tires). Finally, you can be fast and comfortable all day, every day, with one and the same bike.

As a co-founder of Cervélo, head of design Gerard Vroomen loves aerodynamics. Not just theory, but real-world aero. So we test at 20 mph (32 km/h) and 30 mph (48 km/h), we test with water bottles and other “hard parts,” sometimes we even test dirt and mud. But while the Strada range’s aero details stand out, he’s most proud of the fact that it started a worldwide trend toward wider tire clearance on aero bikes. Comfort and speed.

Routing cables internally may be a good idea and potentially reduce aerodynamic drag, but what’s the point if you end up with a very wide, bulky head tube with oversized bearings to house the cables?

Our goal was to hide the cables but keep the head tube narrow. It was a bit of a puzzle, but the result is stunning. In the front view you'll see that our bearings are still narrow and the head tube is even thinner between them. In the side view, you'll see that the head tube is deep and has a fully aerodynamic "nose."

Finally, the cables are hidden inside the 3T Apto Integrale, using the original Apto minimalist shape but with cable routing. Beauty meets function, as this gives you maximum adaptability to find the perfect fit. Because aerodynamics are meaningless if you can't stay comfortably in your aero position. The 3T Strada is compatible with SRAM and Shimano electronic drivetrains, both 2x and 1x.
